The Textile Artists (TEXO) nominated Agneta Hobin as their 2004 textile artist of the year. She is best known for her impressive Muscovite works in which yellow mica has been woven into metal warp; the technique and materials are the artist's unique choises which she has been developing for over ten years.

Agneta Hobin's next exhibition "Silence" will be open from November 4th till December 11th 2005
at Verkaranta, Verkatehtaankatu 2, Tampere;
"Transformations: The Language of Craft" will be open from November 11th 2005 till January 29th 2006
at the National Gallery of Australia, Canberra
